Small Batch Beverage Manufacturing Facility
Details
First of all, Happy Pride Month! A big point of importance to My Witchy Apothecafe is to encourage people to be their authentic selves. It shouldn't be a big deal, but until the pushback against love and self acceptance stops, My Witchy Apothecafe will make it a point to push back against the pushback. Do what you will with harm to none.

Now, back to business. My Witchy Apothecafe is speaking with a small batch beverage manufacturing facility, The Start-Up Drinks Lab, and exciting things are on their way. Once the metaphorical path ahead is properly prepared for travel, the facility will begin production, allowing the Potions (Glittery Tea-Lemonades) to be sold at retail locations, RTD (ready-to-drink) counters, and online on this website from which you're reading right now!

THE CLASSIC POTIONS
Thematically, launch cannot start with just one Potion. The classic trio must make their debut together! Health for hit points; Stamina for jumping and running long distance; Mana for spell-casting ability!

BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWER
While Health and Stamina will be largely unchanged from what was sold at the Farmers' Market, the facility cannot utilize the key ingredient in Mana, which is butterfly pea flower - the blue tea that turns vibrant purple when it contacts citrus. My Witchy Apothecafe and The Start-Up Drinks Lab are putting their heads together for a new flavor that still gives the appearance of a Mana potion, and that new flavor will likely be blueberry.

The original Mana flavor needn't be gone forever! While beverage manufacturing facilities have their own requirements to meet, a cafe has more freedom with ingredients. With the successful launch of the RTD Potions, funding My Witchy Apothecafe's brick & mortar location can happen sooner than you think!

WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE MEANTIME?
If there's a specific shop in which you'd like to see The Potions, or if you're a shop owner who would like to retail The Potions, email My Witchy Apothecafe for next steps!

Good News and Bad News
Details
Bad news first: you won't see the Potions (Glittery Tea Lemonades) at the market for quite some time.
Good news to cleanse the palate: cookies are coming soon!

THE COOKIES
Keeping in theme with the magical and whimsical , each cookie will have a unique flavor, including Hibiscus Chocolate Chip and Matcha Butterscotch. More recipes are being tested and at least 3 flavors will be solidified before launching them at the market.

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE POTIONS (GLITTERY TEA LEMONADES)??
Due to complications with licensing, the beverages need to be put on pause until those complications are resolved. If you'd like to see those complications resolved faster, please sign up to My Witchy Apothecafe's email subscription for more information on the process and what you can do to help.

New beverage station setup and new glass bottle system coming.
Details
Glass bottles are not plastic, which makes them ideal for an eco-friendly business. However, glass bottles are (surprise) fragile--and significantly more expensive than plastic disposable cups.

SOLUTION
By the end of this month, My Witchy Apothecafe will have beverage dispensers, and potions will be poured into clear *compostable* plastic cups with *compostable* plastic lids and *compostable* plastic straws.

WHAT DOES *COMPOSTABLE* MEAN?
All compostable products are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable products are compostable.
Compostable materials break down completely into their basic parts (water, carbon dioxide, and biomass), *in a timely manner.*
Biodegradable items can be broken down by naturally occurring microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi, but *not necessarily in a timely manner.*
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE BOTTLE-BACK DISCOUNT?
It will be as if the bottle-back discount is already applied! Because the compostable plastic cups are drastically less expensive than glass bottles, everyone gets to save some funds.
Glass bottles aren't being completely phased out, but will be available upon request. A different system may be utilized for bringing bottles back for refills, but we'll get there when we get there.
